What to see in Israel

They say that when God created the universe he created land with very tall mountains, others had mighty rivers and green valleys. Some had deserts and others had huge lakes. When God was about to create Israel he gave it a little bit of everything, there are some rivers but they are not so mighty, there are mountains but not that tall, some green areas and also a desert, a couple of lakes, one with fresh water and one with salty water. God packed it all in a very compact, small package and then he decided it is not enough and seasoned it with three religions and people from all over the world to make things more interesting.

I believe that whatever it is you are interested in, you can find it in Israel. Israel has something for every visitor, no matter how old he or she may be nor what religion he has. It is the cradle of the three monotheistic religions, history from biblical times till recently, archeology, world heritage sites, nature reserves and trekking, diving, interesting cuisine, wineries, hi-tech industry and a lot of other things. Since the country is relatively small, it is easy to travel from place to place and see a lot.

Why hire a tour guide

It is true that you can buy a guide book and tour by yourself. Before I became a guide I also thought so. After training for 2 years and continuous learning process after being licensed, I realized that a guide adds a lot of flavor to the tour. You can see the place but you understanding of it and the connection to the site will be different if you have an experienced guide with you. There are secret places that only a guide will take you to and these also include shops and restaurants the locals use and not only the tourists traps.

Business Tours

Test 1

Family Tours

I like guiding families because I like traveling with my own family and families of friends. I usually consult with my customers and decide together on a tour that will be suitable and enjoyable to all participants. There are a lot of fun places for kids and it is easy to combine a tour that will include some serious places and some fun places.

Tailor made Tours

Sometimes customers already know what they want to see or they are interested in a subject but don’t know what can be seen in Israel in connection with that subject. Together with the customers, I build tailor made tours to suit the customer’s needs and interests.

Personal Tours

There are times when people travel by themselves or as a couple. At times like that some will want to make the tour very special and personal by going to places off the beaten track and doing things tourists don’t usually do, meet relatives and follow the footsteps of a family member who was in Israel at the beginning of the state or even before that. Together with you, I will design such a tour.

Pilgrimage Tours

The holy land is the place where events happened in biblical and ancient times. For me it is amazing to stand one hill and be able to explain where, for example, the Israelites and Philistines were camped and where David fought Goliath before he became king. The same goes to the stories of the New Testament. When you travel in the Galilee and see the sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, suddenly all the stories you heard when you were a child or later in church, suddenly become real. After the pilgrimage you will not need to imagine what the Sea of Galilee looks like but you will be able to actually visualize it.

Hiking Tours

Israel offers a lot of hiking course starting from just a couple of hours to some serious desert hiking. There are a lot of full 1-2 days hikes and for the serious walkers there are long trails like the Golan trail, Jerusalem trail and the long Israel trail that connects all the way from the north to the south of Israel.

Agri Tours

Being a small rather dry country, Israel had to develop its agriculture in order to produce more in a small area fit for agriculture. Water is a huge problem here too with many areas not receiving a lot of rain and many years of draught. Agri tours are tours that combine regular sightseeing with visits to places that show the developments that took place here and made Israel a world leader in agriculture technologies. It is possible to arrange meetings with scientists and researchers as well as creating business opportunities in the agricultural field.

Hi Tech Tours

There are many things that we use in daily life and don’t even know there were Israeli inventions or were developed in Israel. The Jews always had to adapt to an every changing environment around them with meager resources to make ends meet. This combined with an exceptional view on life of posing a far stretched vision and goal, working very hard towards it and achieving that goal. One can call the return of the Jews to Israel after 2,000 years such a start-up operation. Others will mention the stents invented by Kobi Richter and saved so many people’s life, the flash memory cards used in every camera and phone, drip irrigation, desalination process, computer security software, ICQ – the beginning of IM, Given Imaging and many other innovations used in so many countries. A hi-tech tour can be a combination of a regular tour with visiting hi-tech and start-up companies at different stages with the possibility of meeting companies who are looking for investors.

Motorcycle Tours

Motorcycle tours

I was in the motorcycle business in Japan for 17 years. Apart from export from Japan and imports of classic motorcycles into Japan my company also operated motorcycle tours, mainly in Japan and sometimes abroad. Israel is a country which has about 320 sunny days every year. Then distances are rather short and it is easy to travel everywhere relatively easy by motorcycle.

I decided to combine my passion for motorcycles and the love for Israel and start motorcycle tourism. You can either do tours with me on my motorcycle or ride one yourself with me as your guide. The tours can be a one day tour but they can be customized to any length you want. For group motorcycle tours please check www.bikelife.co.il
